A call from Gyanama is a call from your school.
Your child's school uses Gyanama. If attendance stays low this month, or a fee is overdue, the school's assistant calls you between 10 am and 6 pm in Hindi, Hinglish or English. The call only talks about attendance or an overdue fee. It never takes payments, quotes amounts or sends links, and approved leave never triggers a call.

Why did the school call me?
Either your child's attendance this month is below the school's limit, or a fee is overdue by at least one day. Before an attendance call you usually get app messages and reminders first.

What will the call ask me?
The reason for the absence, and whether you would like leave to be put in. For fees, it only reminds you that a fee is due.
The call starts in Hindi or Hinglish and switches to English if you reply in English. If you are busy, it calls back later.

Can I talk to the class teacher?
Yes. Ask for the teacher during the call and a callback request is logged for the class teacher.

Can I stop the calls?
The school keeps a Do Not Call list. Ask your child's school to add your number and it will never be called.
